The rocky coast and sandy beaches in the South, the sheltered anchorages (with the small harbour of La Meule) are enjoyed by everybody, especially yachting men.
Sand hills, moors and forests add to the pleasure of bicycle which is a must on the island.

Port of La Meule

South of the island, the small white
chapel of La Meule is still used as a landmark for sailors. Port of La
Meule is the prettiest harbour of the World (webmaster
speaking).
From the small village, you are at some steps of the port. Do not miss
the Sabias bay and its castle, the Soux beach and the harbour (tiny) of
Les Vieilles.

The charm of cottages proceeds as much from the typical small houses of the island as from the character of their furniture. Cottages are very practical, full furnished for cooking (dishwasher, refrigerator, oven ...), all inclusive accomodations for self catering.
